You want we should bake you a cake?

You'd think, wouldn't you, that when one gets to be 48 years old and a university professor, one would be past the practice of announcing to anyone he encounters that it's his birthday tomorrow.

I don't do that, but I do assume starting in early May that anyone I see whispering is probably planning my surprise party. I've never actually had a surprise party, but I haven't lost hope.
On the other hand, I'm not 48 and don't think I'll ever be a university professor. But I don't see myself stopping this in the foreseeable future.

oh no. sounds like he and mister "send you a glass of milk-ha ha" need to hook up and appreciate each other's birthdays since they're both so into making a big deal out of their own.
