Classy

We have no explanation, but Girl-E just spent the last hour emailing old high school teachers. Who does that? She seems to have been overcome by some kind of freak nostalgia, and decided that hearing from her would make their week. Whatever, tool.

I'd do that.
Shit, maybe that's what you meant...

Hmmm, I email some of my old college professors from time-to-time just to shoot the shit; but I don't think that counts in this context. ;)

Jess-- This was all me, no Jess-trashing involved.

Ben-- No, I don't think college professors count. That's much less lame. I mean I work with some of my grad school professors.

I am overcome by nostalgia all the time, so I can relate. But for God sake, control yourself.

the only think i would ever send to my high school teachers is an envelope filled with poisonous spiders.

Bryan, talk to greg-a-plenty. apparently there's a surplus of spiders over there.

EV, it would make *anyone's* week to get an email from you.
=)

Awe, thanks Snowy. I guess I should email you more :). And Bryan, if you really want to know the extent of my dorkitude, I'll tell you that the one time I played a "cruel joke" on a teacher I hated was I baked her a birthday cake. No, it wasn't tampered with. It was the irony that I took evil pleasure in. Jesus, why do I tell people these things?

Posted by: EV at January 23, 2004 05:09 PM

yeah, with the cake thing i think you went a step too far.

Posted by: kate at January 23, 2004 05:28 PM

Oh no argument there. I am under a delusion that acknowledging past and current lamenesses somehow makes them less lame. Which is totally lame.

Posted by: EV at January 23, 2004 05:41 PM

While baking it, did you keep telling yourself, "I am heaping coals of fire upon her head"? Because if so, you are totally my mother.

That reminds me that I should go back for a visit to my elementary school! It's just down the street and I love making my 5th grade teacher feel old. We were only, like, the 2nd class he had after getting his teaching certificate and now we're in grad school. Heh heh.
